I'm 25 years old (or will be on Sunday) and have always been a bit on the chunky side throughout my life. There's been times when I was younger where I've lost a fair bit of weight only to put it all back on plus more. When I was at uni I lost a lot and went down to a size 10 in my trousers but now I'm a size 16.
About 3 years ago I tried so hard to lose weight, I managed to get to about 139lb and despite only being 5,2" I felt this was quite comfortable. Ideally I'd like to get back to being that weight but I've gone up to 176lb.
On Saturday night I was meant to be going out on a works night out but found that none of my clothes fitted me. I had a bit of a breakdown and didn't bother going out. My fella is feeling a bit hurt too as I don't like him touching or cuddling me as I feel self concious.
All this week I've been trying harder not to eat so much and not to eat badly. My downfalls are that I like carbs and eat loads of rice, pasta and bread sometimes late at night. Also I can easily eat a huge bag od crisps on my own so I've stopped buying things like that. I've also been trying to have my big meals for lunch rather than tea and just having soup or a roll in the evenings. I'm also making an effort to drink more water.
Oh well today so far I've had a small bowl of pasta with home made bolognase sauce (made with quorn mince) plus a tangerine. I decided to have that for lunch as I'm working 1-8 tonight and won't really have a chance to have much for my tea. I'll take a tin of soup to work and have that I think.
I'm not really sure where to start though, I'm sure I should really be planning some things to do or stick to a diet of sorts. At the moment I'm just trying to get used to not eating huge platefuls each meal. Before I would sometimes eat a full meal for lunch and tea and I realise I just can't do that any more.
Any advice would be great!
