Hey Steve, the easiest way to go about this is to eat in a reverse pyramid so bigish breakfast containing complex carbs protein and some essential fat then mid morning snack something little to keep the hunger monster at bay, nice lunch consisting of one again complex carb (but not as many as at breakfast) lean protein, mid afternoon snack and then dinner once again with a mixture of complex carb (less than lunch) and protein. Eating 5 to 6 smaller meals per day will rev up your metabolic rate and allow you to burn a hell of a lot more kcal (up to 350 extra per day) with exercise you need to be increase the amount of lean tissue on your body as this is what governs your base metabolic rate (so the more lean tissue the high your metabolic rate, the more kcal you burn at rest) for instance if you swapped 10lbs of fat for 10lbs of muscle you’d burn and extra 500 kcal at rest per day and you would be small as muscle is smaller than fat tissue. You have to also change your training regime every 4-6 weeks as your body will adapt to it and wont need to change anymore. The company I own runs an online fitness coaching service that can help with your training regimes and nutrition so if you want anymore help email me at dom@newyoupt.co.uk :D

Hi Steve, 5 stone in 6 months, it is possible as proven b other people, but its going to be tough.....i would personally say just stay off the fatty foods and perform fat burning exercises or if not, follow a weight loss program/system, this is an article on a few programs out there, should give you a background to them and hopefully let yo choose the right one for you http://www.squidoo.com/quickest-and-easiest-way-to-lose-weight
Hope i have been a help to you and good luck with your target :)

P.S (to forum admins) : I am simply giving advice, not advertising ANY products, so please do not remove this post, many thanks

Just wanted to say, the PTGuru in the first reply knows what he's talking about! I would definately take on board what he is saying. I totally agree with everything

The other thing I will add is that the one thing that you can and will increase if you follow the advice of PTGuru is your RMR, which PTGuru does touch on, your RMR is your Resting Metabolic Rate! This is things like your breathing, thermoregulation and other bodily functions.

The more active you become and the more lean tissue you have on your body you can actually continue to burn fat for up to 10 hours after leaving the gym! Your resting metabolic rate is something you can change to help you keep the fat off!!

You posted quite a while ago now so I hope things have worked out for you :)

well just concentrate on your diets and nutrition , keep going to gym and workout for losing your weight and getting fit . Take green after eating lunch and dinner, and in the morning as well ... it will make the difference.
