Panic

Postby Tuesday » Mon Feb 02, 2009 11:23 am

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and I really look forward to getting into it and making new online friends. I'm posting today because I'm really panicking at my weight today, having just weighed myself.

At one point I was 17.4 Stone (243lb) about eight years ago, so I joined WW, which was a huge success and got down around 12 Stone (168lb). I swore blind I would never let my weight go up again.

However, a marriage breakup, a suicide in the family, one abusive relationship and a couple of other pretty bad relationships too, and today I'm officially 17.3 stone (242lb)

I feel such a failure I'm permanently worrying about my weight, I'm always starting a diet and falling off the wagon, feeling hungry.

I feel like a freak, my hefty body is an embarrassment to me. And the worst of it is, I thought I'd lost weight this week! I've been much more active, walking, and playing Wii games with the children (even buying myself a wii game for fitness, which I've been doing every day). Two weeks ago I weighed 8lb lighter! That's so much weight gain in a relatively short period of time!

What am I doing wrong! I've been careful with my food I've tried to cut back on the snacking, and I'm cooking more rather than resorting to take away whilst rushing about.... If this is the result why am I bothering!

I'm desperate here, has anybody got any ideas of what I can do?

Hi mate weight loss forum uk and its members are all here to help each other. I can suggest you some simple things that you can easily do such as drinking lots of water is a must and small frequent meals , also eat fruit it will make you feel full and you will acquire less amount of calaries. Just keep at it and all will be well. I can also suggest that post some of your pictures here and then start your weight loss program. It will bring lot of motivation for you because everyone will be interested to see how you'r doing.

Now when change4life campaign is going on in the UK, it is the best time to get motivated and shed pounds. By the way what is your BMI? if it is over 30, you will need serious life style changes along with a diet plan and excercise. You can also see your doctor if you think your efforts are not bringing any results. Doctors are able to prescribe some tablets that can help people struggling with their weight loss.

Hello i am new to the Weight Loss forum, its great to see a place where people can discuss there weight questions and goals.

reading the reply to Tuesday about BMI... i used to be very fit and weight was never an issue, however, i have suffered with back issues and combined with a change in life style i have put on the pounds.

Tuesday i also have a wii fit and i have binned my old scales as these are much better and you can keep a track of your weight and BMI, my wii fit tells me my BMI is 28.66 and this seems very close to the 30 that you suggested i go see a doctor about.

i knew i was over weight but what are the risks of being over this figure.

at least it has made me a little more determined to reduce my BMI. :?
