i think i need help.

Postby lukem » Thu Apr 23, 2009 11:24 am

hello, im very annoyed at this whole situation at the moment im a 28 year old male and im 5'10 and was 254 lb and i dont want to be. recently for past 4 days i have been eating only 1800 kcal and excersising so i have a ruff kcal defecit if 3500 a day which is ruffly 1lb of fat burnt a day, i even created a cool excel work sheet to record how many kcals go in and how many go out.
the problem is, is that my calculations have me at been around -2.5 lb (252.5 lb) around about now but im actually now around 260 lb so ive gained 6lb. whats going on?
-im eating the 1800 kcal they say you need so your body doesnt go into starvation mode.
-my resting metabolism is 2801.47 kcal a day if i just stayed in bed.
-and i end up burning up to 5471 kcal a day which after eating leaves a 1750-3500 defecit a day.
even if i was a little bit generous on the amount of kcal i burnt in each excersise i dont see how or why i would gain this much weight. any help or advice would be greatly appreaciated.
thankyou
luke

You dont really need to concentrate too much on how many calories you are intaking its all about burning them off. Make sure you have breakfast, lunch & dinner even if those meals are all small don't skip them. Eats lots of fish & greens this is the key too any diet.

About putting weight on thats not too unusual if you are hitting the gym musscle weighs 3 times the amount of fat.
